The TomTom ONE 125 SE ($59) features a 3.5 inch touchscreen, preloaded maps of the US and text to speech. The TomTom XL 325 SE ($89) has the same feature with a 4.3 inch screen. At that price TomTom does not make much money on these devices – a GPS exclusivity with Walmart comes at a cost.
Other low cost PNDs on sale next week in the United States will include: Garmin Nuvi 205W ($99.99 at Best Buy), Garmin Nuvi 205 ($89.99 at Sears), Magellan RoadMate 1220 ($89.99 at Sears); Magellan Roadmate 1440 ($69.99 at Office Max); TomTom One 130 ($77.99 at Office Depot and $79.99 at Kmart/Sears) and TomTom XL 340S ($97.00 at Target).
This Black Friday is reflecting the concentration on the US PND market: there are only three brands of GPS with special deals: Garmin, TomTom and Magellan.
